Mobile Interactive Group launches SMS access for Friends Reunited

Mobile Interactive Group (MIG), the UK's fastest growing provider of mobile interactive solutions, has today announced the launch of one of the UK's first SMS billing options for leading UK internet brand - Friends Reunited.

The service will give Friends Reunited members the option to pay for an upgrade to their membership using their mobile phone.

Jonathan Clark, head of Friends Reunited said, "We are very excited to be testing this new payment option. It's aimed at our members who have neither a credit or debit card, or people who still feel uncomfortable paying online. It's a quick and convenient way to upgrade and get in touch with your old friends."

Users will text PAY to 78484 and receive a reply message with a PIN code for access to the website. Each text upgrade costs £5, giving one month's access to contact other members.

Commenting on the new service, Barry Houlihan, Managing Director MIG stated, "We are delighted to be working with Friends Reunited to integrate mobile billing into their already hugely successful subscription service. There are a number of other services we will be exploring with the Friends Reunited team once this has been launched."
